turn off site wide buying

  I'm afraid there is not.
  
  Go into Organizer and work your way down from the top level.
  
  Top level, highlight your name.
  select all galleries on right. (be careful to only select galleries - NO folders or pages)
  wrench > settings > shopping
  put a check mark in the box in front of Shopping Cart (only needed if multiple galleries)
  click "off" > save
  
  Then select 1st folder and do the same
  Then each sub-folder and do the same
  
  March down thru all your folders.

  I Selected all the galleries or ANY gallery and the wrench is not selectable. Only delete.

  Be sure you are selecting a gallery or galleries, as the Wrench tool is not accessible for folders.

  One thing you could do is to remove the Buy Button so nobody can click it.
