Photo names in regular view

Hi,
I just uploaded 126 photos to an album using iPhoto. I have titled my photos and the appear on Smugmug as the photo's "name." I see the name when I look at the photos in the organizer and at the photo's information, but when I'm looking at the photo in just the regular view, I see no "name," just the "add title" under the photo.
What is the photo's name for? I thought it would be the title, but it's not. How can I use the Smugmug exporter (or any other exporter for Mac) to add the title from iPhoto without having to edit each individual photo in Smugmug?
