Multiple Photos Content Block

I'm creating a blog using pages. I am using Single Photo Content Block and Multiple Photos Content Block (specifically 2 photos in Collage Landscape) on the same page. I am choosing the photos from the same public client password protected folder. During customization and after publishing (and logged in), all looks good. BUT, after logging out, the Multiple Photos do not show but the Single Photo(s) does.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Or is this a bug? Thanks.

Make sure external links or embeddable links are turned on in the source gallery.

Yes, external embedding is turned on. All the photos are being pulled from the same source gallery. When logged off, photo(s) displayed via Single Photo Content Block DO appear but photos displayed via Multipled Photos Content Block DO NOT appear.

The gallery isn't set to Private in the security settings, is it? It needs to be set to at least Unlisted in order for anybody but the site owner to see the photos.

The gallery is a public gallery but does require a password.

Again, photos from the same gallery are only being displayed if using the Single Photo Content Block. Am I going crazy???? Pretty frustrating as I'm trying to work within the new smugmug customization tools.

Thanks though...any other suggestions?

ETA: same issue occurs across different pages pulling different photos from different galleries.

Well, I chatted with Smugmug Help and...

Single photo(s) from password protected galleries will show but multiple photos will be blocked.

Very weird & lame.

Very interesting. I wouldn't think that photos from password-protected galleries would be available at all in a photo block - isn't showing it without the viewer entering the password a violation of security?

Not sure Denise...my take is that a password-protected gallery prevent public viewing of a gallery but that doesn't preclude me from making photos of said gallery available for public viewing.

Anyways, I had to the upload the photos (not collect) into a (unlisted) gallery to be able to use the multiple photo content block.
