Very interesting! I wonder what is happening inside his mind at the time you are capturing this. Great shot, Liz!

Bravo, Liz! Excellent "study"

BTW, first impression of #1 was that he was plugging an earphone in that was laced around the pole...

BTW, how did you shoot it without the subject noticing?

Thank you B.D. This is different for me, this type of series. I had no trepidation in posting this, I am told that I should and it's not right to post this man's obvious distress. I disagree, but it made me hesistate.

Thanks Jiro,
His anxiety was distressing. It made me uncomfortable as I was standing there next to him. I was listening to music and still I could not ignore his anxiety, so I shot. He would mumble a little to himself, he would let out a nervous laugh as though he couldn't believe what was happening.
He reminded me of a gambler who had just lost it all--that's the feeling I got out of this.

Hey Rainbow,
Thank you. It's been a while since I posted. Glad to be back and post something good.

Shot #1 I see that now.

I shot with my iphone, right infront of him, he was too busy in his own world of...whatever it is he's feeling which clearly isn't good.
I had my ipod on as well with the earbuds dangling. I held the phone infront of me, framed and shot frame after frame, kept checking to see if he was still properly in the screen. I think people think I"m listening to music on my iphone and ignore it when I hold it out--than again I could have shot this with a polaroid and I don't know that he would have noticed.
