Frustrated with loading images

I've been a loyal smugmug member for about 3 years now. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
But...I have had nothing but trouble for the last 2 months uploading and replacing images. The images are exactly the same size, res, everything as they were before this trouble started. I've tried downsizing them as well, but it's hit and miss. I've tried the simple uploader and that is hit and miss as to whether it will upload them as well.
I'm not dumb, I've contacted the help desk about this, over and over again. It's frustrating. I've been trying to replace 5 images for the last 24 hours (the originals are in the gallery, the client ordered from the originals, now I'm trying to replace the originals with the new cropped, adjusted and signed images).
I'm NOT dumb. But I am getting frustrated. Nothing in my work flow changed. I've tried various sizing, etc. I know that the log is constantly telling me that the files are too large, but no matter what size the file is when I'm trying to replace the image, it pretty much will not allow me to do it.
Is anyone one else out there having issues?

The 'replace' uploader isn't as intelligent as our normal uploaders. The 'replace' uploader demands files be: a) less than 48 megapixels (6000x8000 or any variation); b) less than 24 megabytes, and; c) in only the sRGB colorpspace.

Our normal uploaders will downsize over the limit files to be within limits, and attempt to convert both images with different colorspaces and untagged colorspaces. The replace uploader will not, and will give an error (perhaps even a misleading error).

I've had a look at your upload log and I'm seeing tons of "Ack, the file is too large" errors.

The Simple Uploader is more intelligent, and will allow you to replace images within a gallery using "Replace Duplicates" selected in the uploader, however, for this to work, the filenames must be EXACT right down to the case of the file extension. It will not replace SUN.Jpg if the replacement file is named SUN.jpg or sun.Jpg.

Can you send me one of the files that's failing to replace here: http://dropbox.yousendit.com/SmugMug Please be sure to reference this Dgrin thread in the message that accompanies the file.

    We'll take a look!
