Cypriot Sunsets

Our first trip out to Cyprus. We happened to be there during heatwave week. The same week that saw Iran experience 74c in a "heat bubble". Temperatures hit a high of 57c in Nicosia and 47c on the coast where we were. Thank god for fully inclusive packages and unlimited drinks (Iced Tea mostly - so good).

Anyway, as to be expected, as we were on the west coast, the sunsets were amazing. Here's a selection of images I took from our hotel complex (I have one or two more to look at but we'll see about those).

Posting this one first for obvious reasons :). This is a single image however with some selective adjustment brushing of the pool, making adjustments to contrast, lights and vibrancy, I was able to really bring out the colours of the pool floor.

Some similar images to the first with some slight variations in composition and positions of the sun (done on different evenings of course)

What is odd is that with sunset like that, there is no body at the pool......I mean people.....are we alive here?:D

Heheh Thanks SB and kdog :) Much appreciated.

SB, there's a guy in #6. However the reasons for the "solitude" of the images is #1 Choosing my moment carefully and also, everyone was filling their faces as it was evening dinner and we were all enjoying a big out door BBQ just behind where I took these shots :D

Stunning images. The use of color contrast with the blue in the pool and the reds and oranges of the sky is fantastic work. thumb.gifthumb
