Sharing a gallery by email, via the Share tool -- I can't do it

Note: folks, please don't reply telling me that I can just click and copy the gallery url... etc. etc.. I know that.

I'm trying to use the Share feature in Smugmug (where I pick the recipients, preview the email, and send) But I can't get this tool to take my recipients to the Gallery itself, the only option seems to be a photo within the gallery. (sure, the user may figure out that they can click to Next pic, or figure out there is navigation and go UP to the Gallery level.... you'd be surprised how often I get "oh there was more than one picture you sent me??".

Here is the scenario... I go to family event, I take some pictures, I make a gallery in my smugmug site.

Now I want to share that gallery with the family.

First problem is there is no "Share" icon when I first click into my gallery. I see all the pics, but there are no tool icons. Apparently since I use Gallery Style: Collage Landscape, there are NO tools visible.

So now I have to choose a photo in my gallery, now the photo is full screen, but at least I now have the Share icon on the bottom.

I click on Share, and the Share box comes up. But it starts on the PHOTO tab (well I was looking at a photo so... ok fine)
I click on GALLERY tab
I see the URL to My Gallery, yes, I'm getting close... but copying this URL isn't going to help me.

I click on SOCIAL Tab... Great! I see an EMAIL icon, but it says "Share this photo... blah blah blah" I want to share the Gallery... hmm.
I click on the EMAIL icon anyway hoping... Cool, I can select from my Address book, enter a subject, Message, then hit preview... hmm, it only shows the Photo I started this with, and if I mouse over the photo I see the URL will take the user to THIS photo in full screen, not to the Gallery.

The only hope is that the user will see the X in the Top Right to get out of the fullscreen mode and see that there is more pictures to look at.

The view of ALL the pics is where I want my recipients to arrive at... not just one picture. The gallery url is clearly available but I can't make the Share tool generate an email that will take my recipients to that gallery... that is what I want.

Emailing a Gallery link to someone... Seems like a reasonable possibility of the Share tool to me, did I miss something?

(again, I know I can copy the Gallery URL, and go to my email application and do it, that is not the question)

The email tool does share a link to the gallery and as you've discovered takes them to the image you've selected in the gallery.
I'll pass your suggestion on as a feature request to change the email function and make it more obvious it's a link to the gallery, not just one photo.

I would love to see the gallery be more obvious to email recipients the way you were wanting, as well. It only makes sense. Hope it gets changed.
