Subcategory won't show

I've established a Subcategory under the parent, yet it won't show as selectable when I want to move an existing gallery into it... :scratch
Parent: Events
Sub: Bands
Yet, in the "tool - move to another gallery" feature inside any gallery, neither the top level folder "Events" or the Subcategory of "Bands" shows in the drop down. What I do see, though, are the sub-sub categories, which should essentially be in the sub category of "Band".
So, I'm either not smart enough to figure out the hierarchy here, or there's something else going on...
any waypointer would be appreciated!

To move an existing gallery to the Bands sub-category, go to a gallery, click on Tools > Gallery settings, and choose a subcategory in the Extras section. The tool you were looking at is only designed to move individual photos (or all photos) to another gallery.
