The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Bohol and Panglao Islands

In October of 2005, my new wife, Ashley and I traveled to Bohol for our honeymoon. We are looking forward to going back again, to see more as well as to see some of the same places again. The pictures that follow are all from 2005. If you look at the map you can see our route. We took the slow RoRo (Roll On Roll Off) ferry from Cebu City to Tubigon using the same amount of time as the fast ferry to Tagbiliran but let us bring our 'motor'.
We landed at Tubigon planning to motor east through Clarin to Sagbayan

First the Ferry Ride

Leaving from Pier #1 Cebu City. A lovely day but an early morning!

Sometimes cheapest is best! The higher priced tickets, in theory have an aircon room but the reality is that
the seats are not that comfortable, that there is no room to keep your luggage near you, and that the aircon
doesn't turn on until the boat is underway, by which time you are miserable. Buy the cheapest ticket, have
lots of room and enjoy the fresh air.

Sometimes early morning work is peaceful and relaxing.

He will need to be moving soon enough, but till then he is peaceful too.

Across the water...

... and finally arrive about 9AM.

More chapters to follow....
