    If they were fishing, I would recommend a bigger net :)

    Sid, he's fishing with a Rod, I think he was putting bait (maggots I guess) on his hook. The long net is a "keep net" which you use to keep your catch until you release them back in the water. I assume they keep them to weigh up the total catch at the end, its certainly not to eat them as most British river fish taste crap.

    Fishing is one the most popular pastimes in the UK, you'll see guys like this pretty much everywhere there's a stretch of water. I don't get it myself, but I'm sure that a lot of people wouldn't get up at sunrise to take photographs either!!

    Don't they fish like that in the US??
