It is, isn't it! Land, and his Polaroid, have their own probably unique moment in history; only time will tell how important that moment is. More than a few attempts were made to monumentalize Polaroid(s), but none seemed to break through, and, at the moment, polaroids seem to be mainly considered as along the lines of, "holy cow, how cool is that!" (kind of the way, I think, cell phone cameras are now considered).

RIP with grace and accolades.

On the other hand, I think NPR is one of the most vital links we have with the world around us.
