Custom Domain Issue related to GoDaddy
** Figured I'd create a new thread, so the title was a bit more obvious **

GoDaddy is having an issue (very rare for them) - but they should have it resolved shortly. They are posting updates via their Twitter feed:
https://twitter.com/GoDaddy

This issue is not related to SmugMug - and you should be able to access your site via the default URL (i.e. http://yournickname.smugmug.com), if you remove your custom domain from the Account Settings.

If you have any other issues, please contact the heroes:

It seems "Anonymous" has hacked GoDaddy. I had to send out my smugmug address for two customers that were about to make an order.

Our friends at EasyDNS have posted a novel workaround to gain access to GoDaddy (if you want to update the DNS to point elsewhere):

At the moment my site which is in Godaddy DNS, is come back to life. Also the godaddy.com is back on line now too. So godaddy is at least partially back on line.

I just got the following email from secureserver.net:

Subject: Cancellation Confirmation

This notice is to inform you that the items listed below have been deleted from your xxxxxxx account:

Protected Registration: Purchased on original receipt: xxxxxxxxx

But I haven't cancelled anything. And I haven't seen any news on Smugmug or Dgrin about this. Anyone know?

Carefully without opening anything look at the links in the note and make sure that they take you to GoDaddy. I get a lot of "cancellation confirmation" and "verify activation" and similar phishing attempts, many with such bad English they are obvious, but getting more sophisticated all the time.

Better yet, just log into your GoDaddy account (by typing the URL yourself) and check your expirations.

Oh.... since I am a Nigerian prince, just send me your credit card information and I will buy GoDaddy and give it to you.

Yes - heed Ferguson's warnings. If the email you received was supposedly in reference to the domain you have in your signature (www.amomentisforever.com), the next renewal date isn't until 27-Jul-13. It's a pretty good domain, so always proceed with caution when getting any email regarding renewals, transfers, expirations, etc. If you want me to verify the renewal date for another domain, just post it here.
