zero-width box, cannot display tag: DIV id: lightBoxDetailsHeader class: nav curvyIgnore Parent tag: DIV Parent ID: lightBoxDetails" I had some code for rounded corners but I removed that and still get these errors? I will have to really dig deep. Dennis

MAgrelli, my quick .02 would be to pick another color other than yellow for your text on the galleries, it's pretty difficult to see against a white background. Also, might be an over site but some galleries have a white box rounded corner type them while others have a grey box with square corner theme.
Also, your contact link is to a broken gallery. Great work! JS

Your About page goes to your wordpress site without an obvious way to get back to your photography site. On my laptop when I go to one of your category pages your logo takes up at least 2/3s of the available vertical space. Do you want to highlight your photos or your logo? --- Denise

Your site has a clean look to it; that's a good start. I was a little surprised to see that you have a nav bar but no logo. I think adding even a simple text logo would give your site more balance. It appears that you have placed all of your galleries into a category named "Photography". This means that you have removed a level of organization, and that you are showing many different kinds of galleries together. I think you would be better served by using categories to organize your galleries, then showing the categories at the top level rather than showing all of your galleries. You have set up the pro contact form but you haven't replaced the stock photo on the form. If you set a bio photo your photo will replace the stock photo. See http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93316. --- Denise

Thanks!
Thanks Denise,
I was pretty surprised when I checked my site (after your comments) and, indeed, found no logo. Yikes, who stole the logo? A week ago or so I was deleting a lot of old copyrite scripts I no longer wanted and of course I must have deleted my logo - baby, bathwater, all gone. I had to redo it and it's back -probably a tad too large but I will fix that. I put my bio shot on my list, way down at the bottom ") Thanks very much and I like your site BTW |

Denise, please give me your feedback on my site.
Hi Denise,
I have been working on my site for about a month, piecing code together to create the look I want, however still wondering if I am missing the obvious, as I am new to this. I am currently working on cleaning up my portfolio, and would appreciate any feedback you or the smugmug community have to offer. Thanks, www.LeVernDanley.smugmug.com LeVern Danley Chicago |

Your hover color for your navbar makes the nav entry on your home page difficult to read. Dark red against a black background doesn't work for me. It's slightly better on the rest of your site where the background color is light gray. It looks like you have a pro site but you haven't set up the contact email. When I click the contact link in your footer I am taken to a smugmug help page. That should go to a contact page for you. From the help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93382: Quote:
I think your client galleries page would look better with the thumbs above the titles. To do that, see # 10 in the ADVANCED Customization FAQ. --- Denise

I've changed up my site recently and would love some feedback. I'm going to replace the pricing page next, but most of the other changes are done. Thanks for any comments or suggestions.

The second? You're removed the breadcrumb without replacing it with something else. This means the viewer always needs to click more than twice to get to the next gallery. More important (in my mind at least) is that you have left your viewers without a clue as to what they are viewing. See Are you really sure you want to hide the breadcrumb? Think of your viewers! --- Denise

In Chrome on Windows 7, the top box is ever-so-slightly offset to the left by a few pixels. I had some issues with elements not being in-line on my homepage too. Not sure if it's the case in all browsers. The portfolio page I think is also brilliant - how did you do that? Is it a custom HTML page or within the SmugMug boundaries? I love the logo too, really nice work. The only thing I would say is ... from the About Page (quick glance) there only seems to be two of you? |

The portfolio page is custom html & javascript: Code:
<script language="JavaScript">
<!-- Hide the script from old browsers --
img0_on = new Image(186,25);
img0_on.src="MOUSE OVER IMAGE";
img0_off = new Image(186,25);
img0_off.src="BASE IMAGE";
img1_on = new Image(186,25);
img1_on.src="MOUSE OVER IMAGE 2";
img1_off = new Image(186,25);
img1_off.src="BASE IMAGE 2";
function over_image(parm_name)
{
document[parm_name].src = eval(parm_name + "_on.src");
}
function off_image(parm_name)
{
document[parm_name].src = eval(parm_name + "_off.src");
}
// --End Hiding Here -->
</script>
<a href="YOUR LINK HERE"; onmouseover="over_image('img0');" onmouseout="off_image('img0')"> <img src="BASE IMAGE" border="0" name="img0"></a></td>
<a href="YOUR LINK HERE 2"; onmouseover="over_image('img1');" onmouseout="off_image('img1')"><img src="BASE IMAGE 2" border="0" name="img1"></a></td>
The logo was done by a professional website / graphic designer. It was a trade for prints sort of deal and he is in a few of the portfolio pictures. The rest of the website is my design (using bits and pieces learned on these and other forums.). I code vb.net for a living, but have picked up some web design stuff along the way. The third guy! We get asked about him a lot. In the end just two of us formed a partnership for the company, but there is a third guy we us for consulting and bigger jobs. He is the guy in the yellow jacked in the personal part of the portfolio. Thanks for looking and giving your feedback! Last edited by ThreeGuysPhotography; Aug-03-2012 at 08:56 AM. |

I've made a few more changes. I've rounded most of the edges throughout the site. More dramatic on the portfolio grid. And I've changed up the grid to use masonry jquery. Please let my know what you think.
