Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Image not as sharp after uploading to Dgrin
Hello. I believe this is my first time uploading a photo to DGrin. I have a wedding shot that I would like to share, but when I uploaded the file and previewed the photo, it looked substandard to what I am seeing on my screen. The original dimensions are 3456 x 5184 and 51.3M and the resized image for upload is 800 x 1200 and 2.75M. Is there something I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Greg

Link it from your website instead of attaching it to the forum. Then it'll be just the same as on your website.

Sorry Andy. As I said, I am fairly new to posting. How do I go about linking it to my SmugMug site?

I feel like an idiot. I do not see a SHARE button. What I am doing is selecting New Thread, giving it a title and description, selecting the insert image button as you have pointed out, copy and past the url into the box and the url displays in the Message area, not the picture...is this correct?

Greg, you can find full instructions for embedding images in our FAQ, which is linked in my signature and also in the "More" menu above. Post back here if you're still having trouble after reading the FAQ.

Also, Andy is referring to the Share button your SmugMug site, not Dgrin.
