DSS 107 behind the scenes
So I was out with my son in Connecticut, and he was out playing with a dollar-store lantern.

I got some good pics, like this one:



But nothing that said "Essence of Youth" to me.

Then I said, hold up the lantern like and look at it. Just as I was ready to make the shot a car with its headlights on turned a corner, bathing the kid in light, and ruining my shot. "Bad words!" I shouted, certain that the shot was ruined. The child in the meantime had gotten bored and was off doing something else.

Then I looked at the shot, which I want to share with you because it is much much better in color than in BW:



Moral of the story: I need more stray headlights!

That is a very funny story.

I do like the color version of this one better. Thanks for a morning chuckle.
