Lest We Forget. WWII Re-enactment
The Lest We Forget organization was created to honor our veterans of all wars,
and US military service people everywhere.
This year, WWII veterans were honored by a re-enactment of beach landings in Europe and the Pacific on the shore of Lake Michigan in St Joseph, Mi. Actual WWII landing craft and war planes were involved. A special attendee was Herschel "Woody" Williams, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient for his valor during the Iwo Jima battle in a Marine demolitions/flame thrower squad. He was the only survivor of his unit.

I was part of a group of photographers gathered to document the week-end.
Here are a few of the many hundreds of images taken.
