Backyard Humming Birds...
Since I remembered that I hadn't put up the humming bird feeders, I went ahead and put them up on Saturday. By this morning the little guys had found them. Haven't really attempted to shoot them before, so any C&C and tips would be greatly appreciated.

These were shot using a D300s, 70-200mm lens and an Einstein with a beauty dish w/sock. I can't say that I chose the BD for any reason other than that it was handy.

Thanks in advance for the comments.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it.

This weekend (hopefully) I'll have some time to camp out a bit and try to get two birds in the same frame. They are always fighting with each other trying to drive one another away from their favorite spot. So I'm hoping to be able to catch it. Time will tell.

Well, at the moment I'm sitting really still next to the tripod with a cable release, although I do have a couple of PW's. I'll look into finding the right cable to hook them up for a remote release.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Although the idea of capturing two hummingbirds in one frame as they bicker over the best feeding locations is proving to be considerably more difficult than I originally imagined, it is still a blast to watch these guys in the early evening as they feed, fight, and play. Here are a couple more I was playing with...
