The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

I like both ! #2 is very engaging, with the vertical and horizontal lines from the framed pictures and the diagonals created by the different elevations of the people from the person sitting to the person standing with his hand on his face and the placement of each person bring it all together . The first one is simply beautiful . Wonderful work !

Very nice set of images, bdcolen.

#1 is simple. I like the subtle juxtaposition of the subjects. One going towards the center of the frame while the other ones are moving away from the frame.

#2 is definitely my choice here. Candid, with lots of possible interpretation to think of of what's happening during the event. Every picture has a story to tell and this certainly do. I am very much encouraged by your work! Thank you for sharing your images.

Rutt doesn't smile does he?

Both are great, B.D., but I especially like number two.

I enjoy them both. #1 is more pleasant to look at initially, but I dwell on 2 and it's obviously the stronger image. I love photography like this.

At last! The mysterious and very absent rutt makes an appearance.

Both captures are terrific, bd. If forced, I'd pick #1. It's timeless. That said, I love the interaction in #2.
