Thanks for the comments! My son liked #2 best. He liked the repeating quarter circles.

Do you think #1 needs a crop? Is the green in the upper right distracting?

I like #3 the best, with some cropping at the bottom maybe.

These turned out great!! I'm partial to #3 in the series. Looks like a crop of #2. Very abstract. To keep the abstract look going I might crop out the green in the right corner in #1. Look forward to seeing more 'rust' from you

I like #1 best and all of them for the great texture of the peeling paint!

Rusty, that is.

Makes me want to place things made out of iron out on the back lawn just to get them to rust.

Great rust. I would crop the grass out, if you have a chance to go back, I wonder what #1 would look like shot from a parallel plane to the bolt.

Thanks for the rust

Thanks for all of the comments! I won't be able to get back to take more photos of this particular hydrant for a while. But I did find a parallel shot among those I took at the time and was finally able to get some time to PP it. Any suggestions? Oversharpened?

Loads of texture in this and the yellow chunk by the bolt is really good.

Nice foray into the world of rust. It's only fitting that my 4,000 th posting would be dedicated to RUST and a fellow JUNKIE.
