Extension tubes
I'm a macro newbie starting out with a Nikon 60mm 2.8G and a set of Kenko extension tubes. My question is mainly about the tubes. Will they work on both D and G lenses (AF is a non-issue)? Can i use them on all F mount lenses like my 85mm 1.8D and an 18-200 3.5-5.6G? I also have two old pre-AI lenses -- a Nikkor 105 2.5 and a Nikkor 2.8, both of which were purchased when I was living in Asia long ago. They have both been converted to work on my D300. Can I use the extension tubes with them? Will it do any good?

yes you can
if the tubes have the electrical contacts , yes AF is useless for macro , better use manual whatsoever yes ,they are good , there is no glass , they do nothing actually they just move the lens away from sensor , resulting in larger focal-lenght , thats all they do why not try and find out |
