customization
I need to get a customization up and running quickly. I am going crazy trying to manage a large group of photos in a old style traditional HTML web site that will eventually be converted to a WordPress site which has better photo management functions. I want to just swap out that page for a SmugMug gallery and have it look as seamless as possible. I currently have one size fits all customization for my entire SmugMug site. I know how to link to the SmugMug gallery page to the website if I could just get some help making that gallery graphics match website where I want to link it. It's not a complicated layout.
Thanks in advance :-) |

I've moved your thread from Dgrin Forum Support to the SmugMug Customization Forum.

We would need some sort of information on your site, and what site you are trying to copy the layout over into the gallery. We can't do anything to help without seeing what you are wanting.

I have uploaded my banners to this gallery http://smu.gs/JaahEr
I have decided to break down the photos into two galleries instead of the one I originally thought I would use. I actually need two different headers. One for the 2011 foals and one for the 2012 foals. There is a banner for each gallery in the header gallery Here is the 2011 gallery http://smu.gs/KUnFJP Header photo http://gvanleer.smugmug.com/photos/i-FZD2q7Z/0/X3/i-FZD2q7Z-X3.jpg Here is the 2012 gallery http://smu.gs/KUqbQ2 Header photo http://gvanleer.smugmug.com/photos/i-3nX3GDd/0/X3/i-3nX3GDd-X3.jpg It seems to me that I should be making Themes for this. I also don’t want the SmugMug links at the bottom of the gallery. I am going to embed these pages into an existing website. If I can get one done then I can just swap out the banner. I tried making a Papa Clem 2011 theme for the first gallery by inserting this code in the CSS area which points to the photo I put in the gallery I gave you a link to above. #my_banner { width: 750px; height: 150px; margin: 0 auto; background: url(http://gvanleer.smugmug.com/photos/i-FZD2q7Z/0/X3/i-FZD2q7Z-X3.jpg) no-repeat; } I still see my default banner. The one I am pointing it too in the code is not displaying. If I can just get the code to drop into the CSS area of themes that will display the header I want with a black background, and removes the links at the bottom of the page I can take it from here and create other themes off the original one that will work for me now. I am not a code writer but understand the basics well enough to be able to cut and paste and change a few parameters to create a different theme if I just have the basic code to get started. |

So the first thing you have to do is disable the header in the Easy Customizer. Just set the header to None and publish the changes.
And none of this has to do with a theme. You can use the code from here: http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1932865 To set up the multiple headers |
