First thanks so much for the slideshow. I hadn't made major changes in 4 years and was a bit afraid to get into anything major for fear of getting stuck. But it went very smoothly and no major hiccups!! So I made the change now there are a couple of tweaks I'd like to make to it and hope you can help. I would like to add a drop shadow to the slideshow on my home page www.connieandersonphotography.com One that extends on the long edge of the bottom. Can that be accomplished fairly easily?

Galleries Link
After installing the slideshow, and returning my script for my header and nav bar, I still am unable to navigate the galleries link to my catagories page as it did before. It just replays the homepage slide show (which works excellently by the way). Any ideas?

Html5 Slideshow
Hello - I would like to create my homepage slideshow like the one on the example for Moon river Photography. It is the "Slideshow in a Frame". Should I follow the directions listed here or has the directions been updated, since this was written last year? Thank you - KnaakS

The slideshow frame instructions are documented in the reference documentation and the instructions have not changed.

HTML5 Slideshow
Hello John -
I am trying to install the HTML Slideshow. I have been following the directions and successfully added the different codes. I am up to step #4 (I did insert the slideshow Activation Code) and then I added the gallery URL ( I was carful not to add any extra characters and I believe my text is accurate). I then hit the "Save Button" and my question is : I do not know where the "Refresh" button is located?

This refresh button - reloads my homepage…. so at this point I do not have a working slideshow on my homepage.
My web site is: http://www.brandtstudio.com/

My goal is to have a slideshow in a frame like the example on Mood River Photography.
Thank you for your help

You have some errors in your code that keep it from running. There may be more than one error, but we can sometimes only see the errors one at a time and must fix the first one before we can see the next one. To fix the first error, remove this from your top javascript as it does not belong there and is causing errors:

Code:
#navcontainer ul {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    list-style-type: none;
    text-align: center;
}

#navcontainer ul li {
    display: inline;
}

#navcontainer ul li a {
    text-decoration: none;
    padding: .2em 1em;
    color: #fff;
    background-color: #036;
}

#navcontainer ul li a:hover {
    color: #fff;
    background-color: #369;
}

HTML5 Slideshow
HI John -
Thank you for your help - I did remove the code in the top Java script and my slideshow is back. This is not the slideshow look I want though. I want the slideshow to be just like "Moon River Photography" web site "Slideshow in a Frame". I also like the size of his photographs (mine are right now too large). I do not want that altered transition that is currently running on my slideshow. I want them just to fade from one to the other - just like Moon River. Could you give me some advice on how to fix my homepage. Thank you again. - Sue

Create a new gallery and collect the pics you want for the slideshow into that gallery and then point the slideshow there.

I'm posting from my phone so I can't post specifics, but the documentation has a list of transitions you can choose from, and tells you where to set them. You can choose just one (e.g. fade), or set a few and it will cycle through them.

Moonriver set a fixed size slideshow of 500x1000. They then made all their slideshow images fit that 2:1 aspect ratio exactly (by cropping them). You can then add a frame by following the instructions for adding a frame graphic near the end of the slideshow reference documentation (around page 37). You can control which slideshow transitions are used with the transitionsList slideshow option (also described in the reference documentation). There's a huge amount of customization information in the slideshow reference documentation that you may want to look at.

HTML 5 Slideshow
Hi John - I read the notes on the Slideshow tutorial - do you know what type of frame Moon River is using - is it an "Outer' Frame or an " Inner" frame?
Thanks - KnnakS

Hi John - I want to start with the first step -
How do you create a fixed slideshow of 500 x 1000? I looked all over and do not know where to do those settings.
Thanks - KNaaks

You use the height and width slideshow options as described in the slideshow documentation. For a homepage slideshow those options go in your activation code in your bio.
