Tutorials

Ever find yourself wondering just how someone managed to create an image using different effects?

Here are three simple tutorials we hope will encourage you to try something new.

The Hot Seat

A lifelong interest in landscape photography has led Eyal Oren to make a study of his adopted hometown of Marblehead, MA. As you can see, his dedication is paying off!

Africa!

Dgrinners Harryb, Pathfinder, and others joined Andy Williams and Marc Muench on Safari in East Africa recently. Here are some awesome threads to check out!

Rutledge Falls - spring
I posted some early fall shots of this place last year, http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=207505 and thought I would post some from Saturday for a little contrast. Nothing all that special, just a lovely place to visit and shoot which is close to my house.

1 apparently this statue was at one time located in Nashville

2 discovered that I lost my tripod (or rather left on the side of the road) a few weeks back in NC near between Cherokee and Murphy. So used my monopod to help stabilize.

Really nice shots. #5 is my favorite of the bunch, followed closely by 2, 6 and 7.

Nice set. I like what you were going for in #3, although I think it doesn't quite work as is, but it's a nice way to approach the subject. On #2 I might crop out the tree on the right.

Thanks for the suggestions. I believe you are right on both accounts.
