Jquery usable with Google hosted file?
To be honest, I don't fully understand how it all works :P but after doing a little bit of reading it sounds like it's possible to do this, but maybe I'm wrong.

So is it possible to use some jquery javascript, primarily for a navbar with accordion type functionality, and have the link for the jquery library be the publicly hosted Google one, and then the appropriate script within my smugmug bottom section?

I believe the Google hosted is at this link, and it would be referenced in my header portion if I understand correctly.
Code:
https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.18/jquery-ui.min.js

Yes, you can use jQuery in this manner in your Smugmug pages. Smugmug itself is built using the YUI framework (not jQuery) so it's more efficient if you don't have to load another framework, but it can certainly be done and some people are doing it.

In your particular example, that was including jQuery UI. You would also need to include a comparable version of the jQuery core library (which jQuery UI depends upon). And, it is wise to load them from the Google CDN because they are more likely to already be cached in the browser.

Thanks for the timely response, that is very helpful. Playing around with some new design ideas, going to rethink some things.
