Brand new! It came as part of a softbox package I just purchased. I don't shoot w/Canon, so I can't use them. I replaced the cheap batteries w/ new Duracell's. Comes w/ 3 cables to control studio strobes, speedlights, or camera shutter, speedlight stand and instructions.

I've been using this system of late, and find it quite functional - although I did have problem with one receiver, I believe it may have been an operator-induced error.
