I really thought this round would be impossible to repressent both themes as well as this entry has done.

Oh man... 1 vote out of the top 5, and I voted for the photo that got 5th. But whatever, I voted for that photo because it's damn good and deserved recognition. The top 5 were great, as soon as I saw Sapphire's photo in the gallery I just thought "well, that's a winner right there. I'll just hope for top five." I'm pretty new to this forum, but I gotta say I got some really nice and inspiring comments on my photo, so that just motivated me to come back even harder for round 73!

[My Internet connection has cut out so I am going to enter this (tediously) via iPhone.]

My heart is starting to calm down after the shock of seeing the winning photo. Thank you all! As some of you know, I captured this image during a long layover at O'Hare after a sleepless night and a latte. When I started to evaluate what I had captured, it was incredibly helpful to get input and encouragement from several dgrinners. This is a great group of photographers, and I look forward to continuing to learn and be inspired by you all. Thank you!

Congratulations to the other finalists for their amazing entries: Dnie's wishie, Kolibri's tangible angels, James Vernacotola's star trails, and PhotoMuse's clever take on this theme. There were so many great entries that I wholly expected to find another entry in first place!
