Is this a scam or worse?

It's slick and elaborately set up, but the English betrays a non-native user, and the purchase page is http:// not https:// despite claims that it is secure.

It's one of those too-good-to-be-true offers, but too-good-to-ignore!:D

Any ideas?

really hard to tell...I do not hold bad english against anyone....
my own english typing is terrible and sometimes I have had to delete a whole post and
redo after reading it on a forum and it actually sounded like someone from a 3rd world country......

I would contact them about return / refund policy.....if there is absolutely no refunds then run fast..real fast....
and only pay with CC or PAYPAL....at least with those 2 paymt types you can get your money back if it is pirated
and you cannot register it with the software company....they also invite you to ask them questions.......

Not all download companies are frauds.....just because they do not offer a hard copy with a purchase......I have used a company that is in Russia for e-books / manuals over 10yrs ago and then bought a piece of software from them...it registered and work fantastically and I forgot to upgrade it for a few years.....went back to the software company to buy an upgrade to the most current version and all went smoothly, no probs.....the original purchase saved me $300...but I make sure I can get a refund if the software is not registrable with proper key codes and such......

Basically just use your buyer beware spidey sense and email them all sorts of questions.........some software comes with registration key codes and also authentication codes....make sure all is available..

I agree but......A lot of http sites change to https once the purchase is actually started, as when they ask for CC number

    Thanks Art, Pathfinder!

I am in communication with them. Will pop the question about whether the SW is registrable.

They say you receive serial number and can activate. No PayPal.

    Good Day,

You have to realize, that online registration is not supported by OEM versions,
but there is no limitation with software at all.
You'll receive serial number and activation instructions. You can update your software from Adobe after activation without problems.

    From http://download-community.com/info/faq/

    1. Why is your software cheaper than the original version?

Because we offer only download copies of licensed versions. This means that you will not
receive any printed documentation (licensing or instructions) - just files and instructions
in .txt format, and will not be able to register this software online. All updates (for
most of the software) are available to you. The software which we selling was bought
primarily at auctions and from companies that have gone out of business.
From their own admission, they do not provide software keys that are designed to prevent software piracy. Even second hand software comes with an enabled software key, transferable from the previous owner. If there is not a key, then the software is either "not for resale" or stolen.

    URL="http://spamtrackers.eu/wiki/index.php?title=Soft_Quality&action=edit&section=5"]edit[/URL Bogus acreditation

    Soft_Quality_logos.jpg
A set of accreditation logos on the page make it look as if this operation is certified by several organizations. The first sign that this is a fraudulent claim, is that each logo is an image with no click through to the appropriate site for verifications. Secondly, if you do take the trouble to visit such sites, you will find no reference to Soft / Quality. They are not referenced at c|net, nor as an Adobe Certified Partner, nor an Autodesk Authorized Reseller nor a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. What they have done is stolen the logos from each of the sites for these certifiers, and displayed them on their web site.
