Wow, nice. I know where the Alabama Hills are in California, and never thought there was this big of a wow factor. Whereabouts were these taken off Hwy 395.

I tried Was trying to figure out a way to burn an afternoon up there as well, given the way the hills face in Lone Pine, but I couldn't bear the thought of trucking myself up to the White Mountains

Many fewer arches in Alabama Hills (there are two right next to each other) than in Arches & Canyons, for sure. But this one has the coolest name, and the background s'ok Thanks Dan!

Sweet! I was going to stop there on my way from Death Valley but ran out of time (like normal). My favorite is the second but they're all good.
