Hands to the Sky

I posted this in the cool shots forum, but maybe it is better here I had fun with this. I liked the reflection in the middle marble (of the forest and clouds). It gave the cloud reflection a spherical aspect which I found very amusing. I decided to put up my hand to emphasize the reflection idea. It appears as if there is a mini person inside the glass marble, putting their hand against the glass! Wierd! I was thinking of putting this up on the "Fill the Frame Challenge". Thoughts or critique much appreciated Thanks!

Very pretty. The idea and colors are great. I'm not sure the larger marble in the background adds anything, though. Removing it and cropping the top down for a wider rectangle might have given the shot a bit more zap. And ideally the marbles would be more perfect so that the hand reflections wouldn't be wavery, but I don't suppose perfect marbles are that easy to come by.

Thank you for your feedback Craig!!! Yes, I agree that the oof marble isn't adding much except a bit of depth. I was originally going with JUST cloud reflections on all 4 marbles. I'll post that...and also the "okay" sign I did as a variation to the hands :) And you are right...symmetrically perfect marbles are a PAIN to set up. I must have spent an hour trying to get them just right, LOL!

And here's the "Okay" sign (with a twist) as a variation to the hand.

Thank you, Brian. I'm glad you liked it. My kids have been playing with marbles lately (the fad at school), so I thought I'd try to play too My daughter's folder made a fun backdrop for the color pop. Now all I need for some real macro fun---a better flash and a macro lens. Good thing x-mas is around the corner
