Pricing Question for Digital Download of "Original"
Grinners All:
I have a client that wants to buy my original files of a series of "4-Seasons" imagery I did for him last year. Originally I charged him $250.00/print. He's asked for a re-print with new "discount pricing." When I quoted him $125.00/print (for 3 sets) he is now deciding he wants to buy the original files and commercial rights.
Is there a general guideline about setting prices in this arena...say 3-4 times the cost of the print? I know once I give him the images, I will lose all my selling rights to him for further prints. If I price too high, he may walk, if I price too low, I'm getting stepped on. I see all range of pricing here in Smug from $4.00 to $5,000.00.
Any suggestions from the pros and experienced out there?
Many thanks
Here's one on the seasons here.
