Need help incorporating existing site captions/gallery displays into SmugMug
I am considering a full move to a SmugMug page, but I have one major question regarding site design. I am not a web designer, so html, etc. is mostly indecipherable to me.
I have an existing site. I like how my galleries are set up, and the most important thing in them are the way that the captions are laid out. The main site is here: http://www.travwilliams.com/ and an example of these captions is here (click on the first photo thumbnail): http://www.travwilliams.com/gallery/index.php?Album=Bend%20(The%20Goodness%20Collectiv e) My SmugMug trial page is here: http://travwilliams.smugmug.com/ I would like to know if it is possible to either move that model into a SmugMug page, or incorporate SmugMug purchasing options into my existing page. I am not a web designer, but have downloaded the code for my site; the creator of the site is no longer working with me. So how can I transfer that gallery/display/caption design into SmugMug? I do not know how to decipher the code that runs my site, but it is available. Thanks so much! Any advice would be appreciated. Take care-- --Trav Williams-- |

There is no style in smug that shows the photos as they are shown in your old site. That site looks to be using flash, and by the way do you know it doesn't work in IE8?
If a viewer clicks on a photo in one of your galleries to open the photo in the lightbox, the caption is shown by default below the photo. You can use HTML or a combination of HTML and CSS to style the caption. --- Denise
