The race season is in full-swing here on Mt Hood. Here are a couple of my favorites so far...

Mike - good to see your shots again. Although they remind me how much I miss skiing (I didn't compete - I'd kill myself trying to make those gates :) ). Great action. Only suggestion is to pull in the blacks a bit on the first two. Shot 3 has great blacks - the first two are a bit washed out. Simple change that will add additional punch to the first two photos.
    Great stuff!

I know what you are saying about the gates. At the end of the season, the team sets up a real easy GS course for the kids to race the parents. My 14-year old smokes me. By the time I get to the 5th gate, I'm getting way late and scrubbing speed. Thanks for the suggestion on the blacks. I'll watch that.

My typical race setup is usually a D300 and a 300mm/f4. The 300/f4 is a great lens and my copy is superb. I'll also shoot a 70-200 on occasion with the younger kids.
