Wondering if anyone can identify this rare beauty. I'm thinking maybe Tom or Lee can. :dunno

WOW! That didn't take long :D
Guess I underestimated the breadth of expertise and number of aficionados on the board. With only 435 produced, and only in 1954, I figured it wouldn't be very well known. Well done rcof

Sliding doors! How cool...Where did the futuristic look and ideas go with cars? I love the ideas these lesser known car builders had back in the 50's and 60's. Imagine parking! you could park inches away and still get out. Great, clean looking shots by the way...

    Cheers

    Howdy Jack,

Great shots, I've never seen one of those, and you captured it just beautifully.

So good to see you back.

I really miss the days when we looked forward to the new models coming out as they always included some pretty radical departures from the previous styling.

    Jack,

    Beautiful car & captures thumb.gif

My dad (who just turned 82 this week) worked in that plant when he was a young man. His job was to drive the cars as they came out of the end of the assembly line to the parking lot. He told me that they went out of business because they were too far ahead of their time. Also said that the cars "ran like the dickens".

Thanks for posting these. I'm going to try and show them to my dad.

Yup that was well beyond the reach of my family. Dad had a '54 Chevy Belaire back then.

    Hey Jack,

I'm glad to see that we've got some other car savvy folks on board. Beautiful job on capturing this beauty.

The best news on this thread is that you're back. We've missed you and been a little worried. Welcome home.

    Your friend,

    Tom

    Welcome back, Jack!

Fine images of a fine Kaiser! By the way, that's another Kaiser parked directly behind it: the one with the "eyebrow" windshield, of which you only see half.

    Nice work! thumb.gif
