Thanks again for all of the positive feedback! I was worried about lighting initially because we ended up getting to the park at about 10:30 and it was full sun - not a cloud in the sky. It was a challenge keeping harsh light off her face. I manged to keep her in the shade and the rest is just a 5-in-1 reflector and an SB-700.

Thanks, Rey. #1 is indeed centered, but I didn't want to lose her hand or the top of her head to make it rule-of-thirds-friendly. #14 is an opposite angle and is a better crop. Glad you liked them.
Is she a model, or were these senior portraits or...?
Love #12, but I'd back off on the tilt a little - I love tilts, don't get me wrong, but i find myself looking at some of these with my head turned, which is my personal marker of "too much" :giggle

I was actually conservative with this set. Only 3 of the 14 shots I posted are tilted. In #12 (which I think is my favorite) she was leaning back against a trunk, so the camera was actually pretty close to level for that shot. Her mom really liked that one also.
She's a friend of my daughter and is an aspiring model. She might choose one of these for her yearbook portrait, but there's lots of time for more. She's only 16...
#7 seems to be a big hit! Emily loved this one as well. It really did end up being very dramatic. Every shot used an SB-700 for fill. It was either mounted on my D700 with a 8" x 6" softbox, or it was firing into a reflective, socked umbrella. On some shots I also used a 5-in-1 reflector. In #7, her mom was pointing the silver side through the window.
