smugmug not uploading right now....

is this a maintenace thing?? i uploaded a few pics just a minute ago and they dont appear....
" i even updated my cc" just in case... ;)

    Thanks for posting. I know it stinks that there's an uploading issue right now. We're doing everything possible to rectify the situation just as fast as we can.

    I'm not sure what you mean by the last part of your post, would you care to elaborate?

    I'm having problems too. I know you guys are working on it, but in case it helps for details...

    I was trying to upload a single photo through firefox, tried both the java uploader and the most basic uploader. In both cases, the "processing image" placeholder appeared, but then disappeared after a minute or so, no image.

    Standing by.

    i got a huge backlog of birds waiting to get uploaded....... maybe its a plot to stop my birds.....

    will u post when its fixed??

    at least i'm not the only one.

    maybe there should be an optional email system that notifies users if there is an outage, so i could know not to waste 30 minutes trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong before realizing it's not me.

    There is no "new guy" - and that's part of the problem.

    As some of you know, I just spent the last two weeks in the hospital. My wife is pregnant with twins, and she went into pre-term labor. Luckily, they had Wi-Fi at the hospital, so I was able to stay on top of almost everything while I was there 24 hours a day. But a few things slipped through the cracks, and this was one of them. It was a stupid, honest mistake on my part.

    So the only person to blame is me - and I'm not firing myself. :)

    I'm happy to report that after a long search (more than a year), I've found someone talented enough to entrust your photos to. He'll be joining us in a few weeks and then we'll have someone else to blame. :)
