Firstly - I am ashamed to say that I am responsible for the delay in this DGrin Challenge. I have been away and very busy, so missed the messages I was sent regarding my image. I am also ashamed to say that I didn't even vote in the challenge for the same reason.
Thank you all very much though for voting for my image! There were some truly outstanding images in the contest and I am still baffled as to how I could have possibly won.... I guess I will really have to start paying more attention!
I want to thank everyone who gave me a vote and to all that voted.This round was a sound theme with most everyone's entry was finals quality which does make getting to the finals even more of an honor. Congrats to all who played and here we go again --don't you just LOVE it Thank you again

Wow - great stuff this round - thanks all for you votes and congrats to all. I was kinda lucky to get my shot last weekend. CWSkopek and I had tenative plans to meet at the lake to take sunrise shots. I got there and it was so foggy that I couldn't see how to get to the lake so I decided to quickly head up to a high spot and was able to squeeze in some shots - it was magical with the sea of clouds in the mountains and the sunrise.
Wow! This was a fun round with SO much good stuff. Congrats to Fotehog for the Smokin' Hot entry !

I've said this before, but this forum is such a positive place for learning and improving. I've been clicking a shutter since the early 70s and every day I learn something new. Since getting on board here about 5 months ago the learning has accelerated.
Exceptionally stiff competition this time! Congrats to the winners and a round of applause for all the participants who took the time to build the round up to such a satisfying contest!
