Went to a talk yesterday evening at the CCP with Bruce Postle. He was a photojournalist for The Age (the main Melbourne newspaper) for around five decades. I just couldn't resist hanging around to the end and asking him if I could get a couple of shots. Much fun ensued!

Just got a Canon 5D mk III (predominately for still work) and gave video a try today. I was completely overwhelmed by the choices/settings. Does anyone know of a good intro guide to dSLR videography? I'm talking basics - choice of aperture, shutter, fps, compression, etc.
Did a search here, in technique and tutorials but came up empty.

What is a good kit for this? I really need to start doing this for events. Amazon has many many choices. The 2 best options appear to be Avery and Memorex. Is there another option I should look at. Printing with epson 2880 or 4900

This is the first of a series taken at the Oysterbed, Hayling Island today.

The Little Egret in Europe is very similar to the Snowy Egret in North America.







I saw some walkers with dogs approaching the lagoon. I knew that all I would have to do was to wait for the egret to be alarmed and take off.

Western Michigan faced the University of Michigan for Western's final home game of the season. It was a good day for the Broncos as they jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back, winning 13-6.

Hi, I embedded music into my site and for some reason it only plays on chrome (firefox, safari, explorer no go). I linked my music to dropbox and loaded the mp3 and ogg files accordingly. I've tried different ways of embedding html audio tags and still the same issues. Can someone help figure out what's wrong?
