If you have never seen this shot of mine before, these are two pelicans simultaneously "hitting" the water looking for dinner. Well, actually one guy hit the water a second later than the other... notice his pouch tip just touching the water as the other was halfway in.

I guess you could call this: Dinner For Two? :-)

Sorry for the poorly downsized sample, I'm just a little too lazy tonight to dig for my "good sample" image.

I will tell you, that of the thousands of pelican images I've taken, I have never been able to repeat this "double dinner" shot.

Enjoy,
Markjay

Me too... great shot. Your only saving grace here is that you say you haven't been able to repeat it
:rofl

:agree with Dee and Harry. I was really getting ready to dislike you til you said it was a one-time shot :rofl I've got hundreds of pelicans too. Maybe 20 caught while diving. But, zero pairs diving :rolleyes

Seriously, a really unique capture Mark :thumb :thumb I've always said, it's better to be lucky than good. You're both :D

Thanks for resurrecting this one :clap

Well, it's the truth.... I have not been able to even come close to repeating it!!
Wish I could, 'cause then I'd be "showing off" (as Harry said) two of 'em

mark,
Great Shot!:thumb Somebody explained to me that when you see them dive bombing close together they are spearing the same large fish...teamwork!

I had forgotten about this triple header I captured last year. I had my 717 timing down...the new cam is so much faster, and I need more time to get the feel of it.
