Last fall, before the dgrin shootout, skippy stayed with me a few days. She arrived mid September and we had had a killing frost so there was little activity in my garden for her to practice her new macro lens on. So, in remembrance of that and because skippy is currently under the weather, these are for her.

These fuzzy little bees huddle in the shasta daisies in the evening. I think they are babies, but as my husband points out, if they are babies why are they not in the hive?

Some kind of fly by attack - see the two insects OOF - they actually 'jumped' this guy:

Who knew that deer preferentially eat hybrid tea roses? :dunno

I love our two months of summer. Skippy, come on back one July - but then again my summer weather is just like your winter weather! so, maybe not that appealing!
