Tamron 17 to 35

Does anyone have experience with this lens?. I have the older 19 to 35 F3.5 to 4.5 and have been using it on my old Nikon FE lately. The big issue with mind, is, it doesn't lose distortion until about 24 mm. So I was wondering how the distortion is on the 17 to 35, it's not too expensive, is brighter (2.8 to 4) I need a little extra nudge to go and buy it and less distortion would be that nudge:deal

I've had one for a Canon mount and found that there is a bit of distortion at the 17mm end. I think Sigma 17-35mm is about the same in cost from Cameta camera and has less distortion at the 17mm end.
