I can use Lightroom to open JPG's and use the RAW tools, but can't figure out how to do it in CS3. Anyone care to give some directions.

Go to the Camera Raw Preferences menu in Bridge.
At the bottom of box it asks if you want to open all jpgs in RAW.

Right. Or you can right-click on the thumb in Bridge and choose Open in Camera Raw. This might be better if you only need it once in a while.

Or, in PS,
Edit preferences (File Handling, I think) to allow ACR to open JPGs,
Then under the PS file menu, Open As.
In the dialog, select the appropriate file type

Thanks all. I will get on it and see what I can do. It would seem that Photoshop would offer opening in RAW as an option under right click or something...maybe in PS CS4 or whatever the next designator is.
Again, thanks

Hmm...I don't understand how you manage this, unless you have the PS preferences set up to open JPGs in RAW to begin with. What exactly are you dropping into? I can't find a program that corresponds to ACR...maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. :scratch Just curious.

Sorry for the thread revival.
Anyway, I open photoshop, and literally drag the .CR2 into the pshop workspace. That triggers CameraRAW to open.
