Great colors all through this shot :thumb
A little to centered IMHO, easily solved with a careful crop :thumb
Thanks for sharing, why the last duck ?? :D

I figure before I get people annoyed with average duck shots, i should stop and wait for something more spectacularhttp://www.digitalgrin.com/images/smilies/xzicon_smile_cool.gif it will come eventually.
Besides, unlike some here (notably that Harry fellow), some still have to work pretty hard and have limited time for snappin pics. But do expect some great little league action shots (and a few more pro hoops) soonhttp://www.digitalgrin.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

Keith,
I like the water's color and the duck's color, but it looks like he was just too far away. IOW, not enough pixels laid on him to give you enough resolution to work with during post. You can see the colors, but not much detail or definition.
Ducks can be a gas to shoot. If you find a place where people are feeding birds, you can usually get some really nice pics of ducks flying or landing. It works out really well if you do this in the early morn or evening, using a nice fast speed (1/1000+) and with the Sun at your back. That way you'll freeze the wing motion and get that catchlight in their eyes too. It makes it seem like they are looking right at you :D

I realize I probably had a lot more reach to work with here than you do/did. But, what I really wanted you to see is how the catchlight in his eye makes it seems like he's looking at the camera.
Thanks for sharing,
Steve
