Nightingale and I spent the 4th of July, with our son and his family in Fishers, which has a fireworks display over a local lake. Here are a few frames I captured.
Typical fireworks protocol used - firm tripod, cable release, ISO 100, f 5.6 to f 11 depending on scene brightness, shutter speeds from 2 - 10 seconds depending on the rapidity of the mortar firing. 5D 24-105 IS L
One thing I did learn, shooting from a low bridge over the water, will cause image blur when cars roll across the bridge....

All in all a very pleasant day, and a lovely evening.
