I like the idea of using the tree as a frame, but I think it intrudes too much onto the subject.

@ baseballboy: It does overpower it I agree, but I was thinking about the view a New England soldier hiding in the shrubbery would have had. Pop your head up and some Frenchman would lift it off for you . . .
@ Don: NO! Not our sister island of P.E.I. but Cape Breton Island at the tip of Nova Scotia. I do have quite a few pics of the Fortress as I live only a 45 minute drive from there and volunteered there for a good number of years as a French "milicien" or militiaman.

I have a bunch of images from that Fortess.
