I captured this one last night. He was guarding his feeder, watching from our Red Bud tree. I finally found where he was perching. Yes, it is a backyard shot however, I try to never capture a feeder in my shots. Now if I can catch him on one of the flowers....

Wonderful perch and nice detail. I love hummingbirds. I wish I saw them more and had more of a variety around my parts.

Thanks Stephen. We went to a lot of trouble to plant things to attract them. I've only seen 3 different species of hummers in our yard. One may be a female, I'm not sure.
