From the Independence Day Celebration at Gasworks Park in Seattle (in some of the photos you can see the Space Needle in the lower right).

I thought a 24-105 would be wide enough, but I ended up switching to a 16-35 half way through the show once I saw the trajectory. It then took another few minutes before I dialed in the correct exposure (2 seconds is about the max time before everything gets over-exposed, for some reason I was thinking 5 seconds would be OK, but these fireworks were way too close and bright for that to work).

Anyway, I'll have a better success ratio next time, for now, here's the ones that came out:

Great Shots Ron :thumb I especially like the second and fifth one. Looks like a spectacular show.

Thanks for the positive comments!

Here's two more that I rejected on my first pass through them last night, but upon sober reflection, were probably worthy of being included:

Very nice! Not having seen fireworks this year it's great to see shots like this. Fantastic captures, and your fourth one in the first set looks like a moustached face :D

Lovely set, especially the second. I'm also glad you included your "rejects" - they deserved to be added. The symmetry and straight lines upwards create major appeal for me, so that, actually, the first one is my least favourite - the angulation on the right side halts my eye somehow. Very nice work.
