We left Carlsbad, California to go to the San Diego Zoo. It was our last stay while in SoCal before we headed to the Mojave Desert and ... Las Vegas. It was really really sunny, and I still need to learn how to make due with the harsh sun to get some great shots.

I mainly took photographs of my family as the animals were just tired and not that active. I knew that they wouldn't be running all over the place as they are in cages..

But I did take some nice animal shots. I shot with mainly my 24-70! Still wish I had my 70-200 f/4 with me. :cry
