Ok, if I understand the "photography money" law correctly - all these images should be fine since you couldn't print them out to make counterfit money. If I'm wrong, this thread will probably disapear.

Having some fun last night with my Microphotography lens and some cash I had on hand. Still working out techniques for getting good shots. Looks like I'll have to learn focus stacking if I want a sharp image all the way through.

What do you think of these?

did you get yourself a new macro lens? or is this with your 70-200...

i wish i had one of those ex/tubes for my 70-200....

i did some coin shots the other night w/o the tubes and it would have been so much funner to have gotton closer like you have done....

Photographing coins/currency is perfectly legal. We do hundreds of thousands each year.
Your pics are pretty good overall. For coins, try to lay the coin flat and take the pic straight down. Place the lightsource near the lense and you will get a nice bright photo without the shine.

Well.... I'll just have to take a closer look at that 100 dollar bill, I don't have one, can I borrow yours??? :wink
