question re: uploading photos to different galleries & communities

Hi, all! First post here, so please be gentle with me. :-)

I have a question about uploading photos to different galleries and communities. I've associated my floral gallery with the Flowers-Flowers-Flowers Community. After uploading my floral pictures into my floral gallery, I may decide to showcase one of them in the Daily Photos Community, so I upload it to my own daily photo gallery, as well.

As a result, duplicates of my pictures are showing up in the Today's Popular Photos category... I don't want to appear as if I'm hogging all the available slots, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this.

In other words, is there any way to upload a picture *just once*, and then associate it with various galleries and/or communities?

We're so glad you un-lurked yourself and posted on Dgrin!

Currently, there isn't a way to upload once, then link/point/reference that image in different galleries or communities. We have lots of suggestions, requests, and ideas for this, but it's still on the drawing board.

As for the Most Popular Photos, let the votes, comments, and ratings fall where they may. :)
