Came onto the site with a flurry of interesting photos, posted almost 400 messages in 6 weeks, and is now suddenly MIA. Any statistics kept on this site regarding numbers of lurkers and posters? Are 95% of the posts from 1% of the people that view this site? How do we get more participation and keep interesting photographers here?

Just curious.

Dunno what happened to her, we talked for a long time one night and I have spoken a couple times after that, but not lately.

Could be, like me, she has become consumed with other things in her life, and cannot find the time to chat. I can barely keep up with posting my photos on smugmug, to then come over here and post as well sometimes takes away from my other life of work and kids.

WOW, it's good to be missed! LOL

actually, I just posted a thread in wide angle and it explains what I've been doing lately.

I never thought I'd get paid to take pictures, but apparently I'm become a fad of sorts with bands I've networked with on Myspace.

The biggest news is a band called Die Maschine. They're getting their album finished this month and have an "in" guy at Warner Bros. My photography is all over their CD and website. so that's another thing I need to find out about, what on earth do I do about getting royalties for my work?

eh, I've missed this place a lot. I've missed doing challenges!!!! but I have to say, it's been worth it, meeting all the people and expanding my camera eye to levels I never thought I'd get to.

I have to say a big thank you is in order to so many of you here. I wouldn't have achieved what I have so far without your input and support.

I'll try to be around more often.

HUGS all around!
